First of all… I like this! And I like Tilda Swinton a lot. Her provocative bluntness, her androgynous style and the idea of her ménage à trois. But I expected something else when I heard about the perfume she was going to launch with the French perfume house État Libre d’Orange. Subtle eroticism or an absence of smells, maybe something like the fragrance L’Antimatière by LesNez – anyhow, something extreme. Have a look at the picture with the copy machine and then I say ‘pumpkin’ and ‘ginger’ – what do you imagine? Tilda Swinton would say “like this”. I would say the photo doesn’t fit the perfume.

Like This was the idea of captivating a feeling into a bottle which Tilda Swinton could not describe… it is Like This. Swinton claims perfumer Mathilde Bijaoui has managed to translate this feeling into a perfume.
But how does this feeling smell? Well, it smells like freshly baked pumpkin pie, orange blossoms, a hint of rose and a woody note. This scent is warm and pleasant, as if you were sitting in the kitchen with the stove open and the warmth permeates the room… to me Like This smells like comfort. I love the tranquility of this image.
