Gold as a metaphor for the sun. A scent made of white blossoms and fruits that smells like sunbathed skin and feels like holiday. It reminds me of summer vacations in Southern France with fruits and baguette at the beach and the sparkling sea in front of you. From time to time some beautiful French guys kick their soccer ball on my blanket “by accident”.
Orange blossoms and jasmine from Egypt meet Italian tangerines and apricots. The base made of musk and vanilla is flavored with a hint of patchouli, which reduces the sweetness from the vanilla. Et voilà! Pure Gold is a feminine, sunny and light fragrance, nevertheless clear-cut and above all sophisticated.
Pure Gold is part of the Gold Selection by Montale, a company with its head office in Paris. Perfumer Pierre Montale had lived in the Orient for years and got inspired by the Arabian scents and flavors. His modern interpretation of oriental scents for European noses is fabulous. Pure Gold is a perfect example.
What is outstanding is the high quantity of perfume oils. They provide the scent with a longevity and charisma. You can notice it when you spray it on your skin: the perfume gives the skin a satin sheer. The aluminum vial is of outstanding beauty. It protects the perfume from light damage and withstands every journey.
